The Provisional Selection List for the next stage of selection, namely Certificate
Verification (CV), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Endurance Test (ET) and Physical
Efficiency Test (PET), has been prepared in accordance with the rules of reservation /
roster as prescribed in G.O.Ms.No.65, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (K)
Department, dated 27.05.2009, and the relevant provisions of the Tamil Nadu
Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016.
2) As per G.O.(Ms).No.257, Home (Police-3) Department, dated 31.03.2009,
candidates who are required to be called for the next stage of selection in the ratio of
1:5 (five times the number of vacancies). Accordingly, candidates upto the cut-off
marks in the ratio of 1:5 have been included. In addition, all candidates who have
secured marks equal to the cut-off marks have also been included in the Provisional
Selection List.
3) Consequently, a total of 18,689 candidates, including 649 additional
candidates who have secured equal cut-off marks, have been provisionally shortlisted
for CV, PMT, ET and PET.
4) It is hereby informed that Certificate Verification has not been conducted so
far, and the Provisional Selection List has been prepared solely based on the claims
and particulars furnished by the candidates in their online application. Mere inclusion
of a candidate in the Provisional Selection List does not confer any right whatsoever to
participate in the subsequent stages of the selection process.
5) The eligibility of the provisionally selected candidates to participate further in
the recruitment process is strictly subject to the outcome of Certificate Verification
and fulfillment of all eligibility conditions prescribed in the notification and relevant
Government Orders.
6) In particular, the eligibility of candidates claiming PSTM (Persons Studied in
Tamil Medium) preference shall be determined in accordance with the judicial
pronouncement in W.A. No.2552 of 2025 of the Hon’ble High Court of Madras, and
other Government Orders and rules in force.
7) It is further reiterated that candidates shall not be permitted to submit any
new certificates at the time of Certificate Verification, other than those certificates
already uploaded during the online application process.
