Option 1: Online via Mobile App (Recommended)
This is the fastest method and uses face authentication so you don’t need to visit a distributor.
- Download Two Apps:
- IndianOil ONE (the official Indane app).
- Aadhaar FaceRD (by UIDAI, required for the face scan).
- Login: Open the IndianOil ONE app and log in using your registered mobile number. If you don’t have an account, sign up using your 16-digit LPG ID (found on your cash memo).
- Navigate to eKYC:
- Tap the Menu (three lines) and select “My Profile.”
- Under the LPG details section, look for the “eKYC” or “Re-eKYC” button.
- Face Scan:
- Give consent for Aadhaar authentication.
- The app will automatically open the FaceRD app. Follow the on-screen instructions (blink your eyes when prompted) to capture your face.
- Submit: Once the scan is successful, your details will appear. Click Submit. Approval usually takes 24–48 hours.
Option 2: Online via UMANG Portal
- Visit the UMANG website or app.
- Search for “Indian Oil” and select “LPG Services.”
- Click on “Submit KYC” and log in with your mobile number and MPIN/OTP.
- Follow the prompts to link your Aadhaar and complete the verification.
Option 3: Offline (At the Distributor)
If the app shows errors like “Service Unavailable,” you can do it physically:
- Visit your local Indane Gas distributor.
- Carry your Aadhaar Card and your LPG Blue Book/Passbook.
- The staff will use a biometric scanner (fingerprint or iris) to verify your identity on the spot.
Important Notes
- Status Check: You can check if your KYC is already updated in the “My Profile” section of the IndianOil ONE app; it will show a green checkmark next to “Aadhaar Linked” and “e-KYC.”
- Subsidy: Ensure your Aadhaar is also linked to your bank account to receive the subsidy (DBT) directly.
